About Benjamin

​I was a muralist living in Venice Beach, California, working with interior decorators producing specialty wall coverings and paintings to create atmosphere in the homes they were decorating. I struggled to get good photos of the work I was doing so I took an introductory photography class. Turns out I was using daylight film with incandescent light, different color temperatures! I was thrilled and immersed myself in the study of photography and spent hours shooting portraits and even more time in the darkroom printing black and white photos of the images I was capturing. I am currently living near Charlotte, NC in a small town called Gastonia. I have over 20 years of professional experience shooting and my work has been featured in multiple magazines including ESPN, Men’s Health, and First For Women, I deliver more than just photos - I craft visual narratives that capture confidence, creativity, and the moments that matter most.
